Mikaela Buchanan is a college graduate and Southern California native, wife to a bearded pirate, friendly Fullerton neighbor, lover of making and eating great foods (The Tipsy Chip) and Southlands community member on mission for the sake of the Gospel.
Stephanie is a native of Dallas, Texas who calls Fullerton home. She attended Biola University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Intercultural Studies and Biblical Studies, and spent the subsequent years working with children and adults with disabilities. Currently, her day job is in e-commerce merchandising, while her weekends are filled with her floral design and event styling business, Bellatula Floral Studio. She enjoys ambitious DIY projects, a great meal, good conversation, and dreaming up new entrepreneurial ventures with her husband, Brandon. She is intrigued by peoples’ stories and is interested in writing about business, entrepreneurship, local eateries, and the collision of these passions with the Gospel and community. Stephen was born and raised in upstate New York (near Buffalo) until age 19 when he joined the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After training in Great Lakes, IL, he was stationed in Sicily, Italy for 3 years where he worked in immunizations for a year and then the ER for two years. He left the Navy in 2012 and began full time college after that, he is currently at the Institute of Spiritual Formation (ISF) at Talbot School of Theology in pursuit of an M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. His primary interests include Theology (and the major debates therein), Spiritual Formation, the relationship between Christianity and Culture, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (He’s an INTJ, in case you’re curious).
Alexandria Williamson is an educator living in Fullerton, California. Her childhood was split between Brea and Palm Desert, and she self-identifies as an elephant enthusiast. She loves ice cream, tennis, poetry, and being a known and loved member of Southlands. God has captured her heart through his relentless love and pursuit of all people and the incredible ways he has redeemed her story. She loves to write about the messy and marvelous moments God meets with her in her job, her hobbies, and her involvement in communities across a variety of contexts.
